Research Group in Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency (CRIMIJOV) was created with an abiding commitment to disseminating and transferring our acquired knowledge, aiming to contribute, through scientific research, to the development of public policy and practice in the general social field, and more specifically, in the field of criminology. However, given the current emphasis on the need to boost knowledge transfer, considered the third mission of universities, we are making a special effort to develop and perfect strategies to help us communicate, showcase and transfer the knowledge obtained, and thus, contribute to the development of society.
The first of these actions involves the dissemination of scientific knowledge through our active participation in social networks, the media, the development of infographic material and direct collaboration with society in the form of specific requests for cooperation with secondary schools or in public forums related to youth and delinquency.
We continue to devote ourselves to transmitting knowledge by means of the continuous training of professionals and collaborating in research with institutions in our field. This collaboration has been enhanced by the creation of multidisciplinary discussion forums that have generated opportunities for reflection and have allowed research to be directed towards priority issues for society. We have also developed useful procedures, instruments and materials for professional practice, such as our permanent seminar on gender and our "Let's be clear" (Hablemos Claro) project.
With these activities, CRIMIJOV aspires to repay the efforts that society has made by funding our research activities, with the intention of contributing to the development of criminal and professional policy supported by scientific research.
