Part of our team participates in the organization and committee of the II International Congress Gender and Sexuality in Spanish Cinema. Contemporary Audiovisual Representations, which is proposed as a space for interdisciplinary debate to analyze the presence of new topics on the feminist agenda in the audiovisual panorama: the precariousness of the labor market, the impact of neoliberalism or the incorporation of intersectionality, which introduces reflection on the interrelation of gender inequality with discrimination based on age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, social origin, functional diversity, refugee or migrant status, serological status, etc. In this way, the congress aims to address issues that are generally absent in conventional narratives: new approaches to violence against women, gender and sexual diversity, body diversity, functional diversity, cultural diversity or gender and ageism.
